Myth of the Week: Does home insurance cover ‘acts of God’?

The term ‘acts of God’ is not typically used in standard home insurance policies – and as such, they’re probably not covered. However, there are some weather-related instances, such as tornadoes and hail storms that may be covered on your home insurance policy; while flood and earthquake damage may not be covered. It all depends on if the coverage is available and if you purchased the additional coverage.
