Did you know that if you’re caught speeding in a construction zone, and there are workers present that your fine can double?

This is a law that most drivers are unaware of, and it is enforced in many provinces throughout Canada. This has been done to protect the safety of both motorist and workers when approaching and driving through a construction zone, by encouraging motorist to slow down in these areas. In some provinces, such as Ontario, it is also illegal to disobey a traffic control person’s “stop” and “slow” sign.
