Do you know what factors affect your insurance premiums?
All car insurance premiums are based on risk. Insurance companies must predict how likely it is that a claim will be made, and how much it will cost the insurance company to pay out on that claim. One of those risks is based on your level of coverage. When it comes to insurance coverage, automobile insurance in each province and territory in Canada is required by law. The amount of insurance coverage you purchase has a direct impact on your insurance premiums. To drive on public roads in Ontario, you must purchase the following coverages:

Beyond the mandatory insurance coverages, individuals can purchase optional coverages that are not required by law, including:
