Did You Know? - September 2011

Did you know that an out of province or out of country speeding ticket may still show up on your record which may in turn affect your car insurance rate?
It’s true. Some provinces and even some states in the U.S have reciprocal agreements with other provinces. What this means to drivers is, receiving a speeding ticket outside of your home province, may still show up on your record which may have an impact on your car insurance rate at renewal time. To verify if your home province has any reciprocal agreements with other provinces please visit your Ministry of Transportation website for details.
