Q) What happens if I make some modifications to my car? Do I have to let my insurance company know?A) Yes. An auto insurance application asks that you declare any modifications you have made to your car. If you don't let the insurance company know that you have made changes to your vehicle, you may not be fully covered in the event of an accident. Depending upon the degree of the modifications you may have a hard time finding insurance at a good rate. Check with your insurance professional before making any changes to your vehicle. The increase in premium may not be worth your making the changes.
