questions

Q. "I just rented a home and my friend told me to purchase tenant insurance. Do I really need it?"

A. Tenant insurance is definitely important. Whether you are renting a house, apartment or condominium, if you don’t have insurance, you’re liable for any harm that you cause to any part of your home/building – including fire and water damages. Tenant insurance will cover your belongings, your needs after a loss (e.g. a hotel while your home is being repaired) and protect you in the event of a lawsuit. The cost of tenant insurance is minimal compared to how much you could be liable for in the event of an unfortunate accident.
