Preparation Tips for Black Friday

It’s that time of year again for retail madness – Black Friday is tomorrow, November 25th. An American tradition the day after Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday marks the beginning of the holiday shopping season. Retailers across the USA are open much earlier than regular business hours and offer huge savings to customers – causing retail frenzy! Black Friday is gradually coming to Canada also, as Canadian retailers are starting to offer savings around this time.

To help you prepare, we’d like to offer you some tips to make sure you stay safe and claim-free this Black Friday:

  • Be patient while driving – especially around mall intersections and parking lots. It’s easy to lose focus when you’re in a rush. And be sure to watch out for those frantic drivers around you! Save your money for shopping – not paying a deductible if you’re involved in a car accident.
  • Get travel insurance if you’re travelling across the border to do some shopping in the United States. You’ll feel more reassured that you’re covered if an unfortunate circumstance occurs, while out of the country.
  • Hide your shopping bags in a non-visible area, such as the trunk of your car, to avoid theft.

In the spirit of Black Friday and savings, it’s a great time to compare your insurance rate and start saving today! Bookmark this site.
